This year ABC Canberra have announced Anglicare as the 2016 recipient charity partner for the 666 Giving Tree Appeal.

For more than a decade the 666 Giving Tree has made an incredible difference to disadvantaged people all over Canberra and the surrounding region and Anglicare are thrilled to be partnering with ABC to reach those in need.

ABC listeners and members of the Canberra community are being encouraged to capture the Christmas spirit of generosity by donating non-perishable food items that will be distributed to those in critical need.

Anglicare acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of our land and seas. We acknowledge the history of this land and for the stories of resilience and survival which make up Indigenous Australia. We give thanks for Aboriginal Elders and Knowledge Keepers of every generation, including the many Aboriginal families and communities which contribute to the life of our region.
