The Anglicare Board is delighted to announce the appointment of Trevor Ament as its Chief Executive Officer.
Trevor has been an outstanding leader over the last seven months as Interim CEO. After much consultation, prayer and consideration, the Board agreed to appoint him to the role of CEO. Bishop-in-Council unanimously endorsed the Board’s recommendation.
Trevor is a seasoned Executive Officer with significant experience in the not-for-profit, faith-based and financial services sectors. He comes to the role having been the Registrar of Anglican Diocesan Services since 2011, General Manager of Anglican Diocesan Services since 2013, Anglicare Executive Director during 2012-2014, CEO of the Anglican Investment and Development Fund since 2016, and current Chair of the Anglican Insurance and Risk Services.
Trevor’s wealth of experience both strategically and operationally will continue to position Anglicare to sustainably deliver its mission to alleviate poverty and suffering in regional and rural communities by providing integrated and innovative care, and to deliver programs and services to reduce disadvantage amongst vulnerable and at-risk children, young people, seniors and people with a disability.
When asked about his appointment, Trevor shared,
“I am honoured to be serving Anglicare and our communities as its CEO. It is uplifting and fulfilling to work for an organisation that aligns closely to my faith and values. I am impressed every day by the commitment of our staff and the positive impact we are making in our communities, and I look forward to continuing this momentum as we chart a way forward together.”
The Board is confident that under Trevor’s leadership Anglicare will continue to build on its strong legacy of serving the vulnerable and marginalised in our community with dignity and compassion.
