If you are in NSW anywhere between Eden and Gilgandra, we would greatly appreciate your help to publicise Anglicare’s No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS). NILS does what it says on the bottle. It is a service that we run that offers loans of up to $1500 without people having to pay any interest or fees. Australia-wide research suggests that many Australians doing it tough would benefit from such a facility, without the drawback of punitive interest rates, in order to pay for necessary items like car registration, perscription glasses and household furniture.
We are being asked by Good Shepherd Microfinance to double the number of loans we make with reduced staff time, specifically in the Western and Southern Regions of NSW, which unfortunately does not cover the Riverina or the ACT. We will happily do all the paperwork and process applications but we would value you advertising the service locally and sometimes, helping send us documentation.
