On Sunday, 24 June 2018 at Holy Trinity Parish in Orange, staff from Anglicare Western and parishioners from Holy Trinity combined for some friendly competition. The cooking contest was based on using locally donated pumpkins.
Hosted by the Rev’d Mal Dunnett there were reports that there was “light hearted bribery, underhandness and corruption all to raise money for drought relief and to rekindle the relationship between the Parish and Anglicare.
Sixty people attended, some very good cooks where discovered and a positive optimism for the future relationship was evident.”
Thanks to the judges, Rev’d Mal and Robyn Gaffney, who herself although a judge, also managed to select her own soup as second prize!
