Anglicare Pantry Appeal
Team up with your colleagues, classmates or congregation to organise a Pantry Appeal and collect donations to help fill Anglicare's food pantries.
By donating to the Anglicare Pantry Appeal, you will be providing urgent food and essential living items to families in need.
What is the Anglicare Pantry Appeal?
What is a Pantry Appeal? Anglicare partners with schools, churches, organisations, and individual volunteers across Canberra and some NSW regional towns to collect donations of non-perishable food and essential living items. These items are then distributed throughout our Emergency Relief centres to families and individuals in the community who are in need of emergency assistance.
These appeals provide a focus for people’s passion for supporting vulnerable members of our community. Anglicare serves as the connector between charitable intentions and actions, ensuring that donations reach those in need. While Pantry Appeals run year-round, there is a noticeable increase in activity during winter and Christmas, reflecting peak times of need.
“It’s been an incredibly positive experience volunteering with Anglicare. Seeing the community come together to support those in need is really encouraging and inspiring and I am always amazed by their generosity.” Mandy, Pantry Appeal volunteer
